5. Actions of the registrar of the Research Administration Office with regard to an application

Once the grant advisor has marked the application status as “Verified”, the registrar of the Research Administration Office receives a notification thereof.

The registrar then enters the application data in Delta and adds the following data to the project record in Lists:

  1. Date of registration – selected from the calendar

  2. Ex-ante assessment of eligibility for financing from the grant fund– yes/no based on whether the eligibility criteria are met:

    1. at the time of the submission of the application not more than 10 years have elapsed since the principal investigator obtained his/her doctorate (excluding the period spent in compulsory military service or on parental leave). To this end, the contact person of the Research Administration Office shall request a regularly updated list of the relevant academic staff from the Human Resources Office.

    2. the principal investigator has a valid employment contract with the university for an academic position (based on the list of the Human Resources Office, the list is available here);

    3. the principal investigator position is not financed by the tenure fund;

    4. the amount of funding applied for (or grant applied to the university jointly by multiple applicants) is at least 80,000 euros.

After adding additional data, the registrar marks the status of the application as “Registered“. The project manager and the principal investigator receive a notification of the status change.

Once the registration status has been marked, the registrar will receive notifications when someone changes the application, unless the registrar makes changes himself/herself.

If the status of the application is marked as “Not funded”, a notification thereof is sent to the registrar. He/she checks the eligibility of the application for support from the grant fund and makes a note of eligibility for support from the grant fund on the application.
