8. Actions of the registrar of the Research Administration Office with regard to a project contract

Once the grant advisor has marked the project status as “Verified”, the registrar receives a notification thereof. Once the data are complete, the registrar shall register the project contract in Delta and initiate a workflow for opening a financing source.

Once a financing source has been opened, the registrar enters the code of the project’s financing source, the date of registration and the code of the field of activity in the MS Lists form (see here and marks the project status as “Funded”. The project manager and the principal investigator receive a notification of the status change with the info about financing source from Delta system.

If other structural units are involved in the project and sub-sources are created for the project, this must be taken into account in the Delta workflow and the sub-source data must be entered in Lists. To add sub-sources, click on the “Add sub-source” button at the end of the record. Repeat the action as many times as the project has sub-sources:

NB! If expenses incurred are paid from the main project source, it is also one of the sub-sources!

If several financing sources are related to the project and several applications are submitted for financing the same project, e.g. the Environmental Investment Centre (EIC) covers TalTech’s self-financing, the annex to the project contract must also be entered as a sub-source and information on the co-funder, which may be different from the project’s main funder, must be entered in the field “Action/sub-programme". The corresponding project application is also liked to the sub-source then (search in the field Application):
