Entering of grades

The teacher shall make sure that the results of a written examination or assessment are made available for the students in ÕIS within a week after the examination or assessment. The results of an oral examination or assessment shall be made available to the students on the day of the examination or assessment and in ÕIS not later than on the next working day. The results of the examinations or assessments taken in the final week of the examination session shall be made available not later than three working days after the end of the examination session.



How can I enter grades?

  1. Click on the link next to the subject on the home page “entering of grades”

    or go to menu: Studies > EXAMINATIONS/ASSESSMENTS, select page “ENTERING OF GRADES” and click on the link “Grades”.


  2. Select student grade from the drop-down menu. If you want to mark students who are absent, then click on the link “Tick students with no grade as absentees”.Select student grade from the drop-down menu.   3. If you select a specific exam/assessment time from the exam/assessment time menu, only registered students will be shown for this time and can enter result for them and digitally sign the assessment form.If you select a specific exam/assessment time from the exam/assessment time menu, only registered students will be shown for this time and can enter result for them and digitally sign the assessment form.
  4. If a student has not registered for any examination time, then the result can be entered in the field “without registration”.If a student has not registered for any examination time, then the result can be entered in the field “without registration”.
  5. If the interim results of the relevant course have been entered in the ÕIS, they will also be displayed by default on the assessment form. If you do not want to display interim results info, uncheck the checkbox “Display interim results info”.
  6. If the interim results have been added to the course in the ÕIS and there is indication of the percentage(%) of the final grade, the result of the exam/assessment calculation can be calculated from the interim results. To calculate the result of one student, click on the button “” and click on the link “Calculate final result based on interim results” to calculate the results of all students.
  7. Calculate final result based on interim results:

    All the interim results of the student's course, which indicate the percentage and have a result is taken into account (at least zero, but without the result and with the percentage of performance is not taken into account).

    PASS/FAIL ASSESSMENT
    If the course assessment form is a pass/fail assessment and the final result of the interim results is >=50, then the result is A. If the result of the interim results is <50, then the result is M.

    EXAMINATION/GRADED ASSESSMENT

    If the course assessment form is an examination or a graded assessment and the interim result is:
    less than 50, then the result is 0,

    >=50 and <60, then the result is 1,

    >=60 and <70, then the result is 2,

    >=70 and <80, then the result is 3,

    >=80 and <90, then the result is 4,

    >=90, then the result is 5.


  8. Click “Save” to save the results. To sign digitally the assessment forms click on “Save and sign digitally” button.
  9. If there are several assessment forms, then signing is done one by one, it means that as many times as the assessment forms, you must give that many digital signatures (enter ID-card, Mobile-ID or Smart-ID PIN2 code).
  10. After the digitally signing of the assessment forms, the lecturers can no longer change the results. To change the digitally signed results, you must contact the student's school Dean’s office or for a continuing education student the Open University.
  11. If the Dean’s office or the Open University changes the digitally signed assessment form, the existing digital signature will be invalid. The lecturer can digitally resign the assessment form by choosing:
    Studies > EXAMINATIONS/ASSESSMENTS > ENTERING OF GRADES > Grades > Save and sign digitally.
