2. Implementing a project

Congratulations, your proposal has received a positive funding decision!

The next important steps in the project life cycle are negotiating of a funding agreement, concluding agreements and employment contracts, and launching of project activities. The Research Administration Office and other administrative and support units provide assistance to project implementers, making sure that the project results are successfully achieved with the resources and within the timeframe planned.

The project manager and the head of the structural unit implementing the project are responsible for the implementation of the project. The structural unit is responsible for the implementation of activities in accordance with the project as well as the expenses incurred – it must be ensured that all information about the expenses incurred and the description of the transactions is sent to the Accounting Division together with the invoice, travel document, etc.

Upon processing of invoices and incurring travel and staff expenses the internal procedures of the university and the additional terms and conditions laid down by the funder must be observed.
