Ülikooli arvutiõrgu turvalise ühenduse loomiseks või raamatukogu andmebaaside kasutamiseks on töötajatel ja tudengitel võimalik kasutada VPN-tunnelit (ingl keeles virtual private network). VPN-tunneli loomiseks on vajalik eelnevalt arvutisse laadida FortiClient VPN tarkvara. Kodu- või sülearvutist saab luua VPN ühenduse ülikooli sisevõrguga ning pääseda ligi ülikooli arvutitele remote desktopi tegemiseks, serveritele või teistele ressursidele, mis muidu on ligipääsetav ainult ülikoolis kohapeal olles.

Teenuse kasutamiseks on vajalik  UNI-ID

In order to establish a secure connection to the university's computer system or to use the library's databases, employees and students can use the VPN tunnel (virtual private network). To create a VPN tunnel, it is necessary to download FortiClient VPN software to your computer in advance. From a home or laptop computer, you can create a VPN connection to the university's intranet, and access university computers for remote desktop, servers or other resources that are otherwise only accessible locally at the university

A UNI-ID is required to use the service

Tarkvara laadmine (juurdepääsetav ainult Uni-ID@taltech.ee kasutajatunnust kasutades)

Kui tarkvara alllalaadimise lingilt saate vastuse, et Teil puudub juurdepääs, siis avage link incognito või private režiimis ja logige sisse Teie ülikooli kasutajatunnusega Uni-ID@taltech.ee

Software download (accessible only using Uni-ID@taltech.ee username)

If you receive a reply from the software download link that you do not have access to then open the link in incognito or private mode and log in with your university username Uni-ID@taltech.ee

Tarkvara seadistamine Windows arvutis

  1. VPN-i tüüp  SSL-VPN

  2. Connection Name - Nimi millega hiljem ühenduse ära tunneb kui neid peaks olema rohkem kui üks.

  3. Remote Gateway - vpn.taltech.ee

  4. Customize port - 443,  tuleb teha linnuke pordi numbri juurde kui see on nõutud.

  5. Client Certificate  - jääb tühjaks

  6. Username - UNI-id, ainult kasutajanimi, lõppu ei tohi lisada @taltech.ee või mingit muud täiendust. Parooli saab vahetada  või kontrollida aadressilt https://pass.taltech.ee

 

 

Setting up the software on a Windows computer

  1. VPN type SSL-VPN

  2. Connection Name - A name that later recognizes the connection if there should be more than one.

  3. Remote Gateway - vpn.taltech.ee

  4. Customize port - 443, check the port number if required.

  5. Client Certificate - remains blank

  6. Username - UNIs, username only, do not add @taltech.ee or any other addition to the end. The password can be changed or checked at https://pass.taltech.ee

Tarkvara kasutamine

1. Pärast paigaldamist käivitage FortiClient VPN
2. Sisestage oma UNI-ID kasutajanimi(username) ja parool(password) ning vajutage „connect“
3. Töö lõpetamisel katkestage FortiClient ühendus, vajutages „disconnect“

Using the Software

1. After installation, start the FortiClient VPN
2. Enter your UNI-ID username and password and press "connect"
3. When finished, disconnect the FortiClient, press "disconnect"
