TalTech uses Moodle as a learning management system (LMS). Learning materials, study instructions, and video recordings can be shared with students on a Moodle course.

Creating a new TalTech Moodle course

If an e-support for your course has not yet been created in Moodle, please contact moodle@taltech.ee and send us a subject-teacher pair has been created for you in SIS, you can use the MOIS integration to create a new Moodle page for your course.

In exceptional cases, when it is not possible to create pairs at the institute, send a request for a new course to moodle@taltech.ee, containing the following information:

  • course code

  • course name

  • course language

  • name(s) of Course code, title, language

  • Name of the lecturer(s)

  • instituteInstitute

For students to join the course, you must share the course link and self-registration key with them, which we will email you once we have created a new pre-configured Moodle course for you.

Can I use environments other than Moodle?

Yes, if the situation requires it. However,

it is much easier for students to get used to e-learning if teachers use the same environments that can be accessed with Uni-ID and

do not require the creation of additional accounts.

create a new Moodle course?

Please contact moodle@taltech.ee and send us the following information:

  • course code

  • course name

  • course language

  • name(s) of lecturer(s)

  • institute

In order for students to join the course, you must share with them the course link and the self-registration key, which we will email to you once we have created a new pre-configured Moodle course for you.

What if the Moodle environment is temporarily down, for example due to a large number of users?

In this case, it is necessary to wait for the system to recover or to send instructions to students exceptionally, for example through ÕIS, and also ask students for patience.Videos:
