Microsoft Copilot ehk AI abilise kasutamisvõimalused ülikoolis / The possibilities of using Microsoft Copilot or the AI assistant at the university

Microsoft Copilot on tehisintellekti põhine assistent, mis on loodud selleks, et aidata kasutajatel lahendada erinevaid ülesandeid, vastata küsimustele ja pakkuda teavet erinevatel teemadel. Copilot kasutab asjakohaste vastusteks GPT-4 mudelit ja Bing Search (võimaldab otsida vastuseks asjakohast informatsiooni Internetist). Kui kasutada Microsoft Copilotit ülikooli UNI-ID kontoga, siis sisestatud andmed on hoitud eraldatuna ning on tagatud andmekaitse alane ärisaladuse hoidmine.

Copiloti saab kasutada mitmel viisil:

Oma valitud veebilehitsejas:

  1. Avage oma veebilehitseja ja minge Microsoft Copiloti veebisaidile https://copilot.microsoft.com/

  2. Logige sisse oma UNI-ID kontoga

  3. Alustage vestlust, kirjutades oma küsimus tekstiväljale.

Microsoft Edge veebilehitsejas:

  1. Avage Microsoft Edge veebilehitseja

  2. Logige Microsoft Edge veebilehitsejasse oma UNI-ID kontoga.

  3. Navigeerige veebilehitseja üleval paremasse serva, kus leiate Microsoft Copiloti ikooni.

  4. Vajutage Copiloti ikoonile, mille järele avaneb külgriba (sidebar).

  5. Alustage vestlust, kirjutades oma küsimus tekstiväljale või valige koostamine (compose) ning kirjeldage, mida soovite koostada.

Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) rakendustes:

  • Tuleb tellida eraldi seisev Microsoft Copiloti litsents (M365 Copilot Edu Sub Add-on), mis hetkel ei ole vaikimisi ülikooli standardis sees.

  • Hetkel võimalus tellida katsetamiseks litsents kuni 30.06.2024.

  • Litsentsi maksumuse tasub tellija. Litsents automaatselt ei pikene ning juunis 2024 oleks vaja teha täiendav tellimus aastase litsentsi soetamiseks.

  • Tellimuse saab vormistada siin: https://taltech.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/14/group/31/create/382

  • Litsentsi tarnimisel seome selle teie UNI-ID kontoga, mille järel teie Office365 rakendustesse hakkab ilmuma Copiloti funktsionaalsus. Hetkel funktsionaalsuse levik sõltuvalt rakendusest võib olla väga erinev (mõnel juhul tund, mõnel juhul paar päeva).

Kasutamine:

  1. Avage oma Office 365 rakendus (näiteks Word, Excel või PowerPoint).

  2. Otsige üles Copiloti ikoon ja klõpsake sellel.

  3. Alustage vestlust, kirjutades oma küsimuse tekstiväljale.

Microsoft Copilot is an artificial intelligence-based assistant designed to help users solve various tasks, answer questions, and provide information on various topics. Copilot uses the GPT-4 model and Bing Search for relevant answers (allows you to search for relevant information on the Internet). If you use Microsoft Copilot with the university's UNI-ID account, the entered data is kept separate and the business secret in terms of data protection is guaranteed.

Copilot can be used in several ways:

In the web browser of your choice:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the Microsoft Copilot website https://copilot.microsoft.com/

  2. Log in with your UNI-ID account.

  3. Start a conversation by writing your question in the text field.

In the Microsoft Edge web browser:

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge web browser

  2. Log in to the Microsoft Edge web browser with your UNI-ID account.

  3. Navigate to the top right of your web browser where you will find the Microsoft Copilot icon.

  4. Click on the Copilot icon, after which a sidebar will open.

  5. Start a conversation by writing your question in the text field or select compose and describe what you want to compose.

In Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) applications:

NB! Microsoft Copilot does not have Estonian language support in Office 365 applications. Now, it is not able to understand the Estonian language or give answers in Estonian. Supported languages are listed here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/authoring-language-support

Requirements (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/microsoft-365-copilot-requirements):

  • A separate Microsoft Copilot license (M365 Copilot Edu Sub Add-on) must be ordered, which is currently not included in the university standard by default.

  • Currently, it is possible to order a trial license until 30.06.2024.

  • The cost of the license is paid by the subscriber. The license is not automatically extended, and in June 2024 it would be necessary to make an additional order to purchase an annual license.

  • When the license is delivered, we associate it with your UNI-ID account, after which the Copilot functionality will appear in your Office365 applications. Now, the rollout of functionality depending on the application can be very different (in some cases an hour, in some cases a few days).

Usage:

  1. Open your Office 365 application (such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint).

  2. Find and click on the Copilot icon.

  3. Start a conversation by writing your question in the text field.
