IntelliBoard User Guide

What is IntelliBoard?

IntelliBoard is a learning analytics platform that provides users with an overview of student activities and progress across various Moodle courses. IntelliBoard integrates data from our Moodle learning environment. A number of reports have been created in IntelliBoard for users to monitor student progress.

How to access IntelliBoard?

  1. Logging in

    • Log in to your Moodle account

  2. Click on “IntelliBoard”

    • When logging in for the first time, you will only have access to your personal IntelliBoard profile.

Navigation in IntelliBoard

  1. My datasets

    • On the "My Datasets" page, you’ll see a quick overview of the most important reports. This gives you fast access to the most frequently used reports.

    • These reports are designed to provide insights into your students’ progress, participation, grades, and other key metrics.

    • The reports on this page are specifically created for TalTech.

  2. Library

    • The Library page displays all reports assigned to you. These may include:

      • Student participation in different courses

      • Average grades and grade distribution

      • Student logins to courses

      • Risk analysis to identify students at risk of dropping out

    • The Library page includes more reports than the “My Datasets” page, and the reports may not be created specifically for TalTech.

Working with reports

  1. Filtering reports

    • You can filter data in the reports based on different criteria, such as course, student name, date, etc.

  2. Sorting reports

    • In any report, you can sort data by columns by clicking the arrows in the column headers.

  3. Searching within reports

    • You can also search for specific data by entering keywords, such as a student’s name or course title, into the search bar.

    • You can add or remove columns that IntelliBoard will use when searching for information.
