Applications for Dora Plus short study visit scholarship can be submitted by doctoral students, master's students and young researchers and lecturers through the TalTech Help Center. Applications can be submitted on the Help Center by anyone with a university UNI-ID account. The user can change the language on the Help Center by pressing the user’s character on the top right and selecting Muutke keelt/Change language. As language change does not affect everything, some of the fields and explanatory texts are displayed in both Estonian and English at the same time.  

NB! This service can be used with the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla, Microsoft Edge. Service does not work with Internet Explorer!

The applicant:

  1. Before submitting the application, please read the application conditions carefully on the university website: Dora Plus Scolarship (taltech.ee)
    You cannot save the application for later submission, so please make sure you have all the necessary information and documents ready before starting to fill the application form.

  2. Make a new service request “Dora Plus scholarship for short study visits” on the Help Center at: https://helpdesk.taltech.ee/plugins/servlet/theme/portal/7/create/386

  3. Fill in all fields on the application form

  4. Upload the additional documents:

    1. a digitally signed letter of recommendation from the supervisor (PhD and Master´s students)

    2. letter of invitation or confirmation from the host institution / confirmation of the event or registration for the event / acceptance of the presentation, etc.

  5. To submit the application, press “Create”

After the application has been created, the applicant will receive an e-mail notice with a link to his/her application, where he/she sees the information of the application and later the changes of the status of the application and any public comments added to his/her application. 

The applicant can view all his/her applications in the Help Center by clicking the Requests button on the top right menu and then choose My requests.


After the scholarship application has been submitted by the applicant, the coordinator in the department shall receive an e-mail about the creation of the application together with the basic information of the application.

The coordinator:

  1. Opens the scholarship application in a web browser to see all application information and the additional application documents attached. The link to the application is provided in the e-mail.

  2. The additional documents attached to the application (letter of recommendation and confirmation) can be found under the name of the scholarship applicant before viewing the application form.

  3. Confirms or rejects the application. If the application is rejected, please add the reason for the rejection to the comment field.

  4. Other comments can be added if necessary.

After the approval of the coordinator, the director of the department shall receive an e-mail about the creation of the scholarship application. 

The applicant who initiated the application shall also be informed by e-mail that the coordinator has approved the application.


The director of the department shall approve or reject the application in a similar way to the coordinator.

Once the application has been approved by the director of the department, the applicant who initiated the application shall be informed thereof by e-mail.  

Both the coordinator and the director of the department can view the list of applications approved by them by clicking the Requests button on the top right menu and then choose Approvals.


The system has automatically appointed the Dora Plus coordinator Kaire Kaljuvee as the assignee. After the final approval of the application by the director of the department, the assignee will receive an e-mail and a link to the respective Dora Plus scholarship application. She also sees all applications from Jiras Queues: https://helpdesk.taltech.ee/projects/TEAD/queues/custom/263

The assignee:

  1. opens the application and start progress. An e-mail notice will be sent to the supervisor about starting the process;

  2. can put the application on hold if, for example, some data needs to be specified;

if the application data has been sent to the Dora Plus coordinator in the Education and Youth Board (HARNO) by the deadline set by HARNO, the application will be marked as “Done” and the applicant will receive an e-mail notice that the work with his/her application has been completed.
